A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious.
But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less
formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor
moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through
all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself." Marcus Tullius
Cicero, Roman statesman 42 B.C
"Judge a person on the content of
the character" . Where
do they stand, what are the beliefs, values, morals and ethics, how do they
look at our Constitution or America? What
direction do they want this country to go?
Always remember, judge not lest thou be judged
If
America Fail’s the entire WORLD will fail
IF (this is some not
all)
If George W.
Bush had been the first President to
need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference,
would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how he inept he is on his
own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
If
George W.
Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two
centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?
If George W.
Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have
approved?
If
George W.
Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in
NYC, would you have approved?
If George W.
Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock by 90% and given
the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?
If
George W. Bush’s associates or inner cabinet involve any communist, Marxist or
known domestic terrorist, would you have stood there without a comment?
If George W.
Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have
approved?
If George W.
Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted
DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant
gift, would you have approved?
If George W.
Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches,
would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?
If George W.
Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , would you
have approved?
If
George W. Bush let Newt Gingrich, slam down our throats any Bill proposed
without proper vetting and votes, would you have accepted it?
If
George W. Bush had raised the Philippine flag upside down, would you have
dismissed it?
If
George W. Bush did not have the American Flag behind him in any speech would
you have called him a traitor?
If George W.
Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the nonexistent "Austrian
language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?
If George W.
Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem
to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?
If George W.
Bush had stated that there were 57 states in the United States, would you have
said that he is clueless.
If George W.
Bush would have flown all the way to Denmark to make a five minute speech about
how the Olympics would benefit him walking out his front door in Texas, would
you have thought he was a self important, conceited, egotistical jerk.
If George W.
Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican
ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco
de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced
in embarrassment?
If George W.
Bush had misspelled the word "advice" would you have hammered him for
it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoes as proof of what a dunce he is?
If George W.
Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth
Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?
If George W.
Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying
low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan
causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get
what happened on 9-11?
If George W.
Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with
more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made
into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?
If George W.
Bush had created the position of 65 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing
the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America
, would you have approved.
If George W.
Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he
had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?
So, tell me again, what is it about
Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything?
Don't worry. He's done all this in 18 months -- so you'll have a bit longer to
come up with an answer.
LET'S SEE HOW MANY OF YOU FORWARD THIS...
Chuck Devore essay: End
of the World as We Know It
I’m normally not given to pessimism about America—we are a strong
people in a rich land—but our political class has set the foundation for
disaster.
The Federal debt stands at
$13.4 trillion with another $110 trillion in unfunded Medicare and Social
Security liabilities.
The People’s Republic of China now holds about $850 billion in
U.S. Treasury bonds, most of it quietly moved over the past few months into
notes maturing in less than a year.
The ability of a nation to borrow and to finance its debt and
other obligations, such a maintaining its defenses or fighting a war, is as
much based on trust—the expectation that one will be paid back—as it is based
on economic prowess.
What
might the end of history’s greatest democratic republic look like?
At some point in the near future, a rapidly rising China may decide to challenge American
supremacy in the Pacific. The flashpoint may be over Taiwan, or it may be
over the reputedly vast oil and gas riches in the disputed South China Sea
area—what matters is not the trigger, but the result.
Within
minutes of a Sino-American confrontation, world markets believe that
China will begin selling their almost one-trillion dollars in U.S. treasury
bonds. This starts a global sell-off that ripples through the entire
American bond market as fears about inflation feed on investors.
Within days, concerned Americas begin to withdraw their bank deposits,
money market funds and other liquid assets, such as life insurance policies,
using the money to buy precious metals, durable goods and even real estate.
Within
a week, the Federal Reserve would be forced to create trillions of
dollars of fiat money to cover its obligations. This, in itself, would be
highly inflationary, but, with confidence in the financial markets already
shaken by the events of 2008-09, mass panic may lead to hyperinflation, a
phenomenon of a different kind.
Within
a month of the start of hyperinflation, the U.S. government’s credibility
is shot, the dollar is worthless, and, most importantly for national security
purposes, the U.S. cannot even secure fuel for its military—essentially
shutting down what was the world’s most powerful military without a shot being
fired.
Beginning to pay down our massive Federal debt will take both
political discipline and a patient public. This will be difficult, but not impossible. The alternative is
almost unthinkable.

What
has become blatantly obvious is that the President of these United States does
not know our Constitution, our Declaration of Independence or our Bill of
Rights (link here: USA Constitution and Bill of Rights
). Either that or he just doesn't care. It seems most U.S.
citizens, politicians, judges and his administration are not familiar with the
Constitution, but that doesn't mean we have to stay stupid either. Majority of us
here today, had forefathers that fought and died to give us the rights we
have today. They were created out of the need to get away
from big government and to not be overrun by a government body so big that the
people could not make their way. It was created and fought over to give
US a right to choose.
Will
you allow the EXISTING Establishment to define you? It
doesn't matter what side you are on. No
one should be able to define who you are, categorize you into a "position",
or define what you believe in. It is time to charge forward and define this
country for ourselves!
DON'T Back down and accept their definition of
reality, DON'T throw in the towel to their calculations and assumptions before
our hearts have ever taken the stage! B.S!
We will define reality, All of US, together. The
media has you believe there is a WAR within both parties, that each party is
confused at or with the recent outcomes in the primary. GOOD, let them be
confused, let them wallow in the in-fighting. WE THE PEOPLE,
will tell the establishment what we want from now on!
VOTE SMART, GET THE FACTS, then everyone that is legally able to vote, NEEDS TO GET
OFF THEIR COLLECTIVE DUFFS AND VOTE.
VOTE SMART for candidates that will best represent us. VOTE
SMART on Local and State issues. VOTE SMART for what is good for your
State.
Look
at the blatant opposites in this environment today:
NAACP,
ACLU, Unions, NZ Patriot, CPUA,
Socialist of America, TeaParty
Patriots, Republican, Democrat, SEIU,
Democratic Socialist of America, Code Pink, Color for Change, IAC, "New" Black Panther Org,
Communist Party USA, Freedom Works, Int'l Socialst
Org, yaya
network, Peace and Freedom Party, Arian Nation, Planned Parenthood, Americans for Prosperity
on and on.
FOR THE INEXPERIENCED OR WEARY "LOOKERS" IN POLITICS. I
believe we should think of Politics as a product being sold to you.
As any good salesman would do, they want to convince you their product is the
best and you should buy it. WOULD YOU just
because they said so? Most people would research on blogs, yelp, or
sites that have pros and cons, and based on all your research, you’d make the
best decision for you about that product. DO THE SAME with politics, for
any legislations or representative that wants or needs your vote and voice,
think of it as you are the consumer, they are the salesmen. Do the
research before you buy or “you’ll be sorry”
Obama's
politics were known AHEAD of time but the Media
refused to vet him. Instead, they
carried his water and protected him. With
vicious vengeance they attacked and opposing statements and people. Now look at the mess we're in! These very same people who voted for this guy
"because" of his skin color--not in spite of-- or even because he
represented their ideals or values--has spent his whole term so far SHOUTING to anyone, who is not thrilled with
his Hugo Chavez TAKE OVER, that he/she is a racist. If you have to defend and convince your
stance this much you have to be wrong.
If it was an HONEST campaign, they would have RUN
it based on their agenda to SOCIALIZE America. They didn't... If people want
socialized medicine, because it is such a success in Canada & the UK...
then, PASS a constitutional amendment and do it RIGHT! Most of us are sick of the back room, back door approach. It is time
for transparency in politics. Senators need to
STOP going to Washington for themselves to make a
fortune and start REPRESENTING the STATE government. Repeal the 17th Amendment
and put the checks & balances back into the government."

HOW LONG DOES A DEMOCRACY LAST?
The answer is, around 200
hundred years according to the world's history.
The most interesting
thing about Democracies is it's broken down in to documented segments that
every free nation has been through since the beginning of time.
According to scholars,
"a democracy is temporary in nature and cannot exist as a permanent form of
government." A democracy will
continue to exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves
generous gifts from the public treasury.
From that moment, the voters always vote for
the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the
result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy,
which is always followed by a dictatorship.
The vast majority of votes for the Democrat party came from areas of government
subsidized homes with large amounts of welfare / social service hand-outs,
while the Republican votes came from mostly areas where hard working citizens
owned their own homes and the lands on which they were built. According to the
scholars, our country has already reached the governmental dependency stage
and, if amnesty is granted to the over 20 million illegal aliens now living in
this country, this democracy will fall within the next five years.
The
200 average years of democracies normally takes the following route to its own
self destruction.
Finally, we go from dependence
back into bondage.
Our founders were keenly
aware of the shortcomings of a democracy and that is why they chose a Republic for us instead. Our founders disliked democracy as a form of
government and did everything they could to prevent us from falling into such a
condition. Sadly, most people think we
live in a democracy by design and that democracy as a governmental form is good
and noble.
However, in a pure
democracy the majority always out rule the minority by a simple 51/49 vote.
This is far from what our founders crafted but we the people have not learned
we live under a Representative Republic.
Okay, here is where we are today; We are just past the inflection point off-ramp, we missed it
and were going over the apex of the Bell curve. We need to do is get off on the
first off-ramp go over the bridge and take two lane road back to intersect with
that inflection point. This means going down temporarily, then up and then
backwards for a bit to get this machine firing on all cylinders again.
Once we pick up that nearly vertical line,
off we go again. Then we can turn this chaos and controversy, and the sound and
fury that it embodies, and get the show back on the road. It's not that
difficult.
We can continue for another 200-500 years if we pay attention right now at this cross
road coming up.
Here are some old sayings
that go,
"You made your bed, now sleep in
it!" Well, we certainly made our
bed in this election...but I don't think we'll be getting much sleep!
"I contend that for
a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a
bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." (Winston Churchill)

there looking like an envelope without an address on it?" Mark Twain

happiness wherever they go....and other, whenever they go." Oscar Wilde

people in a poor country." (unknown)

power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.
(P. J. O'Rourke)
"GOVERNMENT is the
great fiction, through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of
everybody else." (Frederic Bastiat, French Economist)

facts." Will Rogers

the citizens to give to the other." (Voltaire in 1764)
"Government's
view of the economy? If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate
it and if it stops moving, subsidize it." (Ronald Reagan)
"The government is
like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other." (Ronald
Reagan)
"The inherent vice
of capitalism is the unequal sharing of the blessings. The inherent blessing of
socialism is the equal sharing of misery." (Sir Winston Churchill)
"The only difference
between the tax man and a taxidermist is the taxidermist leaves the skin."
(Mark Twain)
"What this country
needs, is more unemployed politicians." (Edward Langley)
"The difference
between our two parties is, the Republicans believe
every day is the 4th of July while the Democrats believe every day is April
15th." (Ronald Reagan)
Two favorites:
"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough
to take everything you have." (Thomas
Jefferson)

care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it's free!"
(P. J. O'Rourke)
